How I ended up in Edinburgh

After graduating in Communication and Media in Rome in 2020, I packed everything, said goodbye to friends and family, and moved to the UK.
 

Why did I leave my sunny Rome, you might wonder. And why Edinburgh, of all places. As I was looking for a city where I could be independent and constantly inspired, Edinburgh offered me that and more, including a coveted spot in the Creative Advertising master's programme at Edinburgh Napier University.  A true game-changer for my career, this course taught me everything I needed to know to set foot in the advertising world.

From there, things got even better:


- I won a D&AD New Blood Pencil for bringing Duolingo into the shower;
- I took part in the New Blood Academy and pitched to Adidas;
- I gained valuable experience in agencies and as a freelancer:

- my first OOH ( for Edinburgh Gin) got mentioned in the Times.

Where can you find me now?  

Still in Edinburgh, but this time leading a double life: 

creative copywriter on some days, and associate lecturer on others.

I enjoyed my time at Napier so much that I'm now back helping the MSc Creative Advertising class, mentoring students and guiding them as they begin their careers in advertising.

May 2023 - December 2023 

I freelanced for this award-winning marketing comms agency and helped with concepts and copy for a variety of clients including Sleepeezee, Listerine, Kenvue, and Edinburgh Gin - to name a few.

Content Writer Intern @ The Digital Age (tda!) 

August 2022  - January 2023

As part of the content team, I wrote social media content, monitored social activities, and developed online campaigns for clients in the food and drink industry (B2B, B2C). I also had the chance to pitch campaign ideas directly to the clients.

D&AD New Blood Academy 

July 2022

Two-week immersive programme hosted by D&AD with WPP. As part of the academy, I worked on the final brief set by Adidas with other four fellow creatives and pitched on the last day to over 100 Zoom attendees.
